Mag Hytec diff cover

Anyone have a Mag Hytec diff cover on your 9.75 rear end? How do you like it? How hard is the install? Does the factory diff cover have a reusable gasket?
How much extra fluid does it hold?

Thanks!

Not sure about the 9.75 but for the 8.8 it was a few extra quarts, and its as easy as taking the stock one off, sanding, the main housing surface, and then putting the new one on. The stock ones do not have a gasket, but use a goop to seal up.

Ive got one, install should be a simple bolt on. Cant really say as i had mine installed at the same time i had gears put in. I think it holds somewhere between 2-3 extra quarts, I think

fx4's right. It really cools the rear end too. You can actually touch the rear end.

I run one. Install can't be more straight forward or easy. Take old one off. drain out all fluid. Put new cover on, fill. The Maghytech comes with a built in O-ring type seal, so no "extra" seal is needed. Just bolt it up and your good.

Hold a couple extra quarts. The fins help cool it. The extra magnets inside help keep debris away. Large inspection hole and dipstick allow you to check the condition of the insides, with out draining the fluid. makes it nice and easy when out on the trail. I would also suggest looking into the deep dish trans pan. I also run that, hold a lot more fluid, keep it much cooler. Nice to have, especially if your lifted, plan to lift, tow or haul often.

I run one as well. As mentioned, simple install and holds a couple extra quarts. One of my favorite mods
