2002 F150 Torsion Bar Question

I have an 02 f150 supercrew 4x4. I was under it the other day and noticed that torsion bar between the driver and passenger side was different by over a 1/4 of an inch. The passenger side was turned in (less bolt shown) by 1/4 inche more than the driver side.

So my question is, would the torsion bars be adjusted that much for alignment purposes? I have not had an alignment done on this truck since owning it since I have been waiting to install newer larger tires. But to me it seemed odd that the torsion bar would be out by that much. Would this to be expected due to alignment adjustments and the fact that the passenger side is always against the slope in the road?

It's not uncommon for torsion bars to be adjusted differently. Just make sure your ride height is close to even from right to left.

even if you were to crank the bars all the way, alignment can still be achieved with the stock keys...
