Exclamation how much lift?

Guys i need help on this one. i am about to buy a 2000 f150 4x2 and i really want to put 35x12.5s on it. i had already planned on putting a 3 inch body lift no problem. i was told they still wouldnt fit and i would need to do a spindle lift also which i dont know anything about. i need to know whats the cheapest spindle lift if i have to get one and if i am putting 35s on will they fit on the stock wheels and will i need to make any more changes? if its just too much trouble and 33's would fit easier then i would go with that. ill only have about 1500 to spend for the next month so for the lift and tires. hopefully ill have another 500 or so to work with next month. i want to get this stuff on as soon as possible can anyone give some advice. the only thing i know how to do is the body lift right now. i dont know too much about any of this

You can buy Doestch lift spindles off Ebay pretty cheap. These and a body lift will allow you to fith 35's on an 8 inch wide wheel.

a 6" suspension lift will cost you, the cheapest, about 1200 dollars. and then tires? that's a nice wad of cash.

yea i already figure on the tires costing me $1000-$1200. the body lift $200-$300 and i guess the spindles around $400? how much would they charge for installation if i wanted all this done. i would love to do it myself with some friends that know how but i cant have my truck down for that long because my job depends on it.

you can get the 7.5" fabtech for around $1000-1100. just save up 3 months and get wheels, tire, lift. you can probly get wheels for about $500. and then tires would be probly another 800-900 if you stick with a 16" wheel. and lift 1100. so $2500 total roughly. you can install the lift on a saturday and be done saturday night easily with a 2wd. and for what you will be spending, $200 for BL, $100 for gap guards,$400 for spindles, your only a couple hundred off from the fabtech. the Suspension lift would be much quicker and easier to install than the BL. BL installed i think is between 600-800 from what i have heard other people say. i would just do suspension and learn some more about your truck.

Cashel is selling the 7.5" fabtech also. its brand new so im sure you can buy it much cheaper than $1100

that is true..i would much rather get the full suspension lift if i can. i have heard the suspension lifts are much harder to install than body lifts though? i would love to do it by myself but if i couldnt how much would someone charge to install a suspension lift do you think that way it would be done professionaly? would i need to get new wheels if i wanted to put 35x12.5 or 33x12.5' on it? i looked it up and the stock wheels on it are 16x7?

drake, you have to remember, you are 2wd, you dont have to drop down nearly anything. if you have basic knowledge you and a buddy could handle the install. and i think a suspension would be easier than a body (not saying a BL is hard) if you want suspension, do a suspension by the time you pay for BL install, and spindles install, im sure it will be really close to a 7.5" fabtech installed. my next truck ill be installing myself, only reason i didn't this past time was because truck was brand new and my dad would not let me take it apart go to fabtechs site and read the instructions, i think you will be surprised on the simplicity.

Right, your oem wheels are 16x7. You can fit a 12.50 inch wide tire on them, but they are an inch narrower than recommended. You could use them untill you can afford some 16x8's.
