Talking King suspension performance kit

I was looking at the king suspension kits and was wondering if anyone had any input and or experience with its like this, will it give you much better performance? is it worth the cash?

what are other suspension company's with similar or comprable products and performance?

Thanks
Todd

If you are only looking to level your truck, aftermarket adjustable coilovers(King, Camburg, etc.) is the best way to go about it, IMO.

I think thats what hes talking about. to my knowledge king does not offer a full on lift kit for trucks. They do offer adjustable bolt in coilovers as a leveling kit type deal. Id recommend King, Camburg or Icon. That is some serious dough for just getting the "level" look but probably worth it.

I have a leveling kit on my truck right now i was wondering if there was a big performance upgrade, i would be looking to do it as a performance upgrade, increased travel better speed of road, im not really looking at mudding but more high speed trails.

Just thought i would see if anyone has had any experience with performance suspension over lift kits

Thanks
Todd

Sounds like those would be perfect for you, maybe some rear shocks to match.

I'd call Camburg and get a price for their coilovers/UCA package also.

Do the King coilovers put your cv and steering angles back inline?

If you leave them uncranked. They are direct replacements for your stock coilovers. Crank them up and you will have the same angles as a leveling kit... There is no way to keep factory angles with any "leveling" kit.

Ok.... heres something alittle off subject, I have a leveling kit in now, problem is my drivers side is sitting a 1/2 in lower than my passanger side. i have checked everything and it all looks fine, strut and everything. i took it to an off road place yesterday just to see if he had any ideas, he said he would either put a shim on top of the strut to even it out.

Do you guys have any idea? i know about an 1/8th inch on top of the strut equals about a 1/2 inch lift. should i try and make a shim? do you have any other ideas?

Thanks
Todd

never head or putting shims on the front end. how many miles on your 04? maybe you need to replace the shocks (struts)

I have 78,000 or so miles on it, i have been all through it, in the shop the strut doesnt seem to be blown,(and shouldnt have an effect on ride height) but the spring shouldnt have any sag in it either. I have a call into Hell bent steel the leveling kit company and im going to have them send me out a new set and try that. The only thing i can think of.
