There's alot of crying going on in this thread....sheesh.

first off you got what you asked for dealing with 4wp, that is your problem. Second rize is still a very small company even with its growing popularity, i beleive they call it "growing pains". I had to wait for my kit just like yall did and you wont find any threads of me bitching about the wait. They where out of shocks when i got my kit too. They are going to expand when the time is right its inevitable, they cant exactly do that answering the phone calls for "where is my chit already" daily. I called rize once to find out what was up and they explained their whole process and that was all i needed to know. This thread really got under my skin after reading it if you could not tell. Also doing a little searching and research never hurts when buying anything...

I also agree with IDNC, lose the chrome and you will have it right.

to answer your questions,

if a company wants a consumer to shell out a ton of money for a product they should at least be up frount with them, ive talked to quite a few people at rize none that knowledgeable, espacially with our trucks, im not bitching im just throwing it out there that way other people dont go and throw money at something that they are GOING TO BE CHARGED FOR and not recieve their product for MONTHS..

FX4LIFE- i saw in another thread (searched ) that you had a custom shaft made for the back where did you get this done, because there isnt a good place that i can get one made here in NY

all in all its nice, its not a "complete kit"

in order to complete it you are going to need the following

Rize 8" Lift
at least 2" aal or adj shocks
Rear shocks
Brake lines
Front Driveshaft
Rear Driveshat
patience lol

keep in mind you are going to absolutely need software for the larger tires to correct tire size, and if you have TPM you need to shut that off also.

lifting is a domino effect, its just like anything else turbos, superchargers, with looks or performance driveability suffers

the rize kit is good, but they should let consumers know what they are going to need thats all im saying, if i have to budget 7000 for a lift and not 5000 (wheels tires included in both prices) that is a BIG difference for a lot of people, if i was going to have to do all the custom stuff, i might not have done it from a $ stand point

although my 08 is a tad different then the other years im finding out, different leafs, brakes, just some subtile stuff you dont notice till you work on it.

there is no 100% "complete kit" on anything. if you want complete, leave it stock. this is the bullsh*t you get to deal with when modifying your pickup, get over it man. imagine having your truck with 5500 miles on it, truck completely tore apart and the subframe you bought doesnt fit your damn truck!!! now thats a situation, WTF do i do now??? no one should have to tell anyone after lifting your truck 8 inches, obviously your gonna need new brakelines. boy some people got troubles..lol. and that brushguard is vicious

lol i hear ya im not bitching i guess im just venting, i its the same as my car

first you want more power - supercharger, then you blow the motor for no reason, then you build a nice engine and are like wow now i can handle over 1000hp, lets up the boost, now @650ish at the wheels, the tranny and rear are crying for help, it just goes on and on from the fuel system, to suspension and brakes its never ending...

i just wish the truck didnt viberate so freaking bad, well i "think" i found a good driveline shop outta florida a freind told me about, i am assumeing the driveshaft is the culprit of my vibes, its 2" out the yoke and the tires and wheels are new, round and true, or they should be at least, but i swapped them front to back and no differerence so i doubt its my leaf pack, last thing is the D/S

is the vicious a good or a bad thing lol, it actually came with the truck, and i dont mind having it with all the deer, and moose when i go to maine, ive actually put them on other trucks for that reason.

This is really interesting to me since when I spoke to 4WP about Rize they said "we do not stock them since they do not carry a high enough liability insurance for their products". I have never to this day even seen an ad in their catalog/mag for Rize products. When did they start carrying Rize products? I wonder just so I know if they lied to me also.

i wouln't trust anything they said to me, but i'm sure they would recommend you a procomp i would put a rize on my truck way before any pro comp product, just my preference though.

Rize is a great company I have an 8" lift from them, however everyone I've worked with at 4 wheel parts are scam artists, and will rip you off if they can. If you order it anywhere else you would have it a lot quicker and as far as install don't bother with 4 wheel parts either I was ripped off in price. Should have trust my gut feeling and went some where else. GoodLuck
