Where does the coil spacer go and how does it work? How much does it lift?

There are a few different sizes available, but most common is the 1.5"-2". If its a daystar coil spacer it goes on top of the coil spring. SKG makes one that goes on the bottom.

It goes into the coil spring. The amount of lift depends on which model you buy.

i plan on doing the same to my 99 2wd supercab. the spacer still goes on top between the coil and the spring plate correct? do i have to pull the spindle to get to the coil (i know just one ball joint if i have to)
