Here's my old truck, a 97 with a 4" Rancho sus lift, 3" body lift and 2 more inches in the front by way of 1-ton Chevy torsion bars. It had 39x15 MT's and 16.5x12 Weld rims, along with a custom shock hoop and a total of 14 shocks. I should never have sold it!

Anyway I now have an 03 2wd Lariat Screw, all stock but I hope to do a 6 inch lift and put some 35's on it around Christmas. I've never lifted a 2wd, can anyone recommend a brand name?

Fabtech is about the only good quality for a descent price. Just get the 7.5" crossmember kit, and build from there. The kit will allow 35's with just a smidge of trimming on the valence.
Btw, how did you mount the quad shocks in the back of your truck?
This was in early 1998 when the trucks were still pretty new and not many lift kits available yet. It rode pretty rough though, so if I had it to do over again now I'd go with a Fabtech 6" sus and the 3" body lift.
I ended up selling the truck 4 years ago when I moved to the United Kingdom. I've just come back home a couple months ago and still getting back on my feet job-wise so I've bought a 2003 2WD screw. I'm definately up for a mild lift on this one and should have about $3500 to spend on it come next Christmas. I gotta start learning about 2WD suspensions now though as I've only ever had 4x4!
