Which Lift to Go With
Looking to lift my 05 Supercrew. Have had 3 right front boots replaced because the tore with my 2-1/2" AS level kit and as warrenty is about up want to lift the truck instead of level to have better front angles.
Here is the lifts Im looking at (in my price range) Which would be the best?
4" Rancho
6" Pro Comp
6" Rough Country
I understand that the Rancho and Pro Comp set the front tires out andthat the Rough Country doesn't. I will be installing the lift myself. I know Fabtech is a good lift just can't afford it
My Truck
2005 Supercrew
17x9.5 chrome rims
285 BFG tires
Thanks all Any inshight would be helpful . Also I do tow a 26 foot camp trailer and 4 place snowmachine trailer
Again thanks

i know its not on your list but its in the same price range. i would reccomend the bds 6" kit. its the same price as pro comp stage 1. has a great warranty. and i havent had one problem with mine and rides incredible. and the rancho actually comes out to be pretty expensive after you buy shocks and all. atleast it did when i looked into getting it

Yeah, the rancho's are an awesome system. They are kind of misleading on paper, because it is just the lift, no shocks. I would personally save a lil more and get the fabtech for a few hundred more. Out of the ones listed, I prefer the rancho. And, I was under the impression that the rancho kept the front tires closer into the truck than with other lifts. I know alot of people that run oem wheels with a lift go with the rancho because of this.

yea the rancho is just as much as a fabtech after you buy the shocks. if money is an issue and your rims will work with the pro comp, that would be your cheapest best. i got a rancho on my screw and i love it, rides like stock. if you want a rancho for a good deal, talk to josh at sportrailers, he gave me a smokin deal on my shocks. i just dislike fabtech because they push the tires out real far compared to the rancho. i wouldnt buy anything made by rough country personally, id buy a pro comp first. also your tires are good look tiny when you lift it 6 inches and keep 33's under it.

A lot of members have the Pro Comp and love it. You can always upgrade the shocks a little later whether you go with a heavy duty adjustable coilover or something less expensive like the Bilstiens or Ranchos. Plus, I've never read any great reviews on the Rough Country products and the 2 inch height advantage over the Rancho is a bonus.

well not to bash pro comp but the shop i worked at we quit installing pro comp lifts. (we did 2 on nbs chevys) and the reason is that they would not come with new tie rods and imo it is not safe to cut the old ones to fit. we installed a bds lift on an 04 dodge, no problems, tons of fabtech lifts with no problems on all makes of vehicles and imo build quality just seemed the best from fabtech and everything also went together with alot less problems. the only complaint i have of fabtech is that they dont come with the clamp to clamp the add a leaf to the spring above it. really no big deal
