Level and Lift Q's

Hey guys, sorry for the trouble but I'm kind of new to the whole truck scene, and especially new to this whole lift concept.

Before you flame, I did search for this using the search feature but could not come up with a definite answer.

Anyway, I'm looking at this 3" lift kit ( http://www.4wheelerssupply.com/catal...73750406e09fa9 ) and I'm wondering, how should I go about leveling the front end first? Also, is this a good lift kit? I mostly want the truck to look nice but I will be doing some occasional and very light off-roading.

Thanks Guys!

-Chris

i wouldnt buy it personally. get youself an Autospring leveling kit and rear block. same angles on the cv's and cheaper in price and less time to install. check out hmfic's gallery he had both setups on 2 different trucks.

I wouldn't use the Skyjacker 3 inch kit. Most everyone agrees that 3 inches is too much lift without any type of dropdown brackets. 2.5 inches seems to be the practical limit before ball joint and CV joint angles become to extreme. You can level your truck with a 2 or 2.5 inch Autospring kit which sells for around $80.

I was in the same boat as you. I've probably read every lift thread on here...twice. Get the 2" or 2.5" AS. You can't beat $80 plus free shipping. I'll be putting mine on next weekend. I went with a 1.5" AAL instead of a rear block per the guys at Autospring...but you can do whatever you're more comfortable with.

I'm thinking I'll spend the $80 for the Autospring kit until I save up enough money for the 6" Pro Comp kit.

Thanks for the feedback!
