Lowering shackles?

Hello i have a 2002 F-150 2wd flareside and was wanting to lower it 2-2.5 in in the rear, i haven't done anything to the front, i just wanted to put some shackles on the back to kinda level it out alittle, would i also need shims for the vibration or will the whole lowering the rear mess up the angles of my truck and make it ride like crap? Thanks for any help i can get.

Oh, ps, would i need new rear shocks?
Thanks again!

I had a shop do mine, 2" drop shackles. As far as I'm aware they only did shackles, no shims. As for the ride, I can't tell a difference. And you can keep your stock shocks.
