Talking What else do I need???

Hey all,

I own a 2006 Ford FX4 Screw and I recently bought a suspension, tire, and wheel package and I was curious if I needed anything else e.i. leveling kit, add-a-leafs, rear blocks??

Here is what I ordered;

8 in Rize w/ brake lines, shocks, and rear blocks.
20x10 Motto Metal 950s
37x13.50x20 Nitto Muds

The items haven't been installed yet, but I'd like to have everything I need to make sure my truck sits level. Thanks. I'll be sure to post pics of the finished product as soon as I can.

yep, youll need an add a leaf, or you could go with new leaf packs from deaver, atlas or national spring.

Does the rize lift increase the track bar length? Im wondering if the front wheels/tires stick out further then the rear?

I'm nearly positive that it does not increase track width. Plan on buying gears within a few months, you won't want to run the stock gears for too long. 4.88s without a doubt. I would of went with 5.13s if you could get them for the 8.8" in a reverse cut.

Not really jacking this, just asking questions to help him and me out.

things need with a rize 8" lift and 37's

1) Rize lift
2) shocks, should you use the shocks that come with kit or upgrade?
3) Deaver 1-1/2" Add-A-Leaf it will sit un-level
4) do you have to lengthen either drive shafts?
5) re-gear 4.88
6) 37" tires
7) aftermarket 20" wheels

so all in all you are looking at about 10k to lift 8"? Is this about right?

Around about. It all depends on what brands you use, etc....for instance insted of an aal i went with new leaf packs from deaver. instead of spending 150 on aal's i spend 800 on new packs. Its all in what you want, how much you wanna spend, and how you plan to use it.

as for shocks, you can use what comes with the kit, thats what ive got and they are just fine. im upgrading to kings tho.

with the driveshafts, some do some dont have to lengthen them. Mine needed them so i just had all new ones made up, which was only like 450 bucks.

Thanks for the help

Everyone,

Thanks a lot for the help on getting my truck looking and performing right. I called the 4WheelParts yesterday and I already order the Deaver 1-1/2" Add-A-Leaf it wasn't too much.

As far as buying gears, well I'm going to have to run stock gears for now, until I can save up some more.

I should be getting a call back today as to an install date, I'll be sure to let you guys know and to include pictures.

Thanks again.
