about to install body lift help

about to install body lift help

hey guys bout to install my pa 3' body lift anything i should know?
questions:
will i be able to use my hitch?
will the bumper hang lower?
will everything look the same besides height as it did before?

thanks

any added input will help

Yes, you will still be able to use your hitch. The Performance Accessories kits come with front and rear bumper relocation brackets.

why do some people say make sure to raise your rear bumper and exhuast?

some people don't bother to drill the necessary holes in the frame to raise the bumper. also, your exhaust tailpipe(s) will appear to be 3'' lower after the lift. any exhaust shop worth their salt can easily correct that. yes, you can use your hitch, it will sit as it is now, and will appear more visible. however, you CANNOT tow w/ your rear bumper after the body lift.

I've got pics of the entire install process on an 03 in my gallery, check it out if you want. Granted, it's not an 06 but it will at least give you some idea of what you are in for.

Please post your experience when your done. I am curious to see how much of a pain in the **** you thought it was on the newer models. Rumor is that it is a pretty tough install on the 04s and up. Not sure if I buy that though. The 03 wasn't that bad at all IMO... Just a lot of little, time consuming steps. Good luck.
