Bilstein Shocks to make a Procomp stage II?

Hey guys, So I want to get rid of my 6" spacers that came with the Procomp lift. I see Bilstein maked shocks for the 6" lift. So do I just re-use the OEM harware and put it on the Bilsteins, or am I missing something?

They are made for 4-6" of lift, you will have to adjust them to the 6 inch height and you can get rid of your spacer. I'm pretty sure of this, but I might be wrong. Don't feel like looking it up.

I have spent some time looking at these and it appears that I can remove the spacer, I just can't confirm that I can use the factory coil and seats. I haven't found a place on west coast that sells them yet so that I can call and find out. Everyone is on the east coast and having dinner by the time I get off work. I will Just have to wait until Saturday morning. I will post a part number/shock number for everyone once I figure it out.

I'm not sure why procomp does not offer an optition to reuse the factory hardware. I would like their stage II set up, but I can't justify the price.

I believe you are correct.

Those shocks set at the 6" setting will create the same angles as a 2" leveling kit however.

The angles should be close to stock on his 6" ProComp with the shocks set at the 6" setting.

I can't see why it wouldn't work. You could also look at he Fabtech shocks I'd guess.

Let us know what you find.

You are right. I forgot the Procomp kit comes with longer spindles and a drop bracket designed for 6" of lift. My mistake :o

I have sent off a few emails with no response yet, so I will have to go old skool and give them a call. It looks to me the the shocks will work but I have also found a few sites that have a spring retainer package, so I looks like I will need that stuff as well. What I am not sure of yet is wether I can use the factory coils. Here is the site with the bilstein shocks. (top gun customs)
http://store.topguncustomz.com/store...82&i=193821846

I just have to get up early enough to call them (differnt time zones)

yes you can get rid of the spacers, the bilsteins are the same ones from the rcd kit. i just did them about a week or two ago, plus i added the daystar level kit to have 8.5 inches. top gunz customs has them for $440 shipped.
