I love my BL. Install a body lift yourself and do it right, throw some Bilsteins on and you'll be lovin' life. All for under $600, $700 tops depending on your truck. Most economical way to go and have it look great. Then pick out your wheels.

If you have cash to dump into your truck, go with a suspension lift. I'd much rather have a suspension lift than a BL, don't get me wrong. But, a BL runnin' 35s and still being able to keep a full size spare under the bed, what more could you ask for.

And, she does great off road. But like "thumper" said

Thanks all....

I was just hoping that a body lift would be cheaper and easier. As again, I'm hoping my truck doesn't need to be lifted anymore at all. I was just wondering what to do if my tires should hit slightly in the front, even after a 1 1/2" - 2" leveling.

Now, if I had a 4wd and wanted to get a nice big lift going, for my 37" tires, a body lift and / or a full suspension lift would probably be well worth my money, and my mechanics time.

Thanks again,
Fish

PS, Hey Wrobo, I'm sorry, but no.... I think I had already saw that it was going to be more expensive, and complicated that I wanted to deal with "before" I clicked on your link.....
But when you said
With all the posting you do, I can tell you don't know what in teh hell you wanna do with your truck.
Uhhhh..... well no. Not completely. I haven't even gotten the damn thing yet. Did you know exactly what you were going to do with every aspect of your truck, before you got yours ?

^ Yeah that pry sounded more mean that I wanted it to It wasn't meant to be a rip. Anywhoo, if you have the cash get the susp. lift. You won't be dissapointed. If you are looking to not have any problems with warranty issues, leave your truck at stock height. There is probably a million things they could blame on your lift if something goes wrong with anything remotely associated with it. Then again, I've heard that some dealerships will install it and give you a warranty too, so you could check that out. Good luck and keep us posted on your ideas

Honestly, I'd think about waiting until you could afford a suspension lift. It'd be worth it !!

I love body lifts and am on my third truck with one. However, everyone says they are a pain to install on the 04-08's, in addition to being more expensive. If you have to pay someone to install it, you will have almost as much money invested as with a 6 inch Pro Comp lift.

no one here has yet mentioned one fundamental difference between the 97-03 and the 04-08. for the 97-03, all you can do is a 6'' susp. and 3'' body, due to the torsion bar-based. IFS. Granted there is Whiplash and Full Throttle, but those lifts are **** under stress. On the 04-08, there is the coilover based IFS, which is able to better take an 8''+susp. lift. The 97-03 guys cannot achieve such a stance w/o a body lift, and still be able to put their trucks under offroad stress. both a body lift and a susp. lift will put additional strain on a truck, neither one is a "perfect" way to lift a truck.

no, that lift is for 2WD only. even so, to achieve the same height as the 6''susp and 3''body of the 4WD, you would still need the 7.5'' 2WD fabtech and the 3'' body in a 2WD. does that make sense?
