Leveling Kit and New tires

Just got my new baby went from my 99 F150 to an 04. I need to get rid of the donuts Ford put on at the factory. I wanna do a leveling kit in the front with 3" leveling aluminum spacers from Fat Bob's Garage. I know some of you guys out there have done this and I wanna know what size tires you are running and if you are having any rubbing issues or anything else with the leveling kit and bigger tires. thanks

Can you give me some more specs on your truck? Don't go with that leveling kit. I see that they are running their ads on here but I'd go with the tried and true Autospring or the Daystar. I'd also only run a 2" or 2.5" kit. 3" is way too much stress on those balljoints and CV axles.

I ran a Daystar 2.5" leveling kit on my 2004 F150, 4WD. I was able to fit 33x13 Nitto Terra Grapplers mounted on 18x9 Helo Maxx 6s. I did have to do some trimming though. It was probably the width that did it though. The general rule of thumb is that you can fit 33s on aftermarket wheels and 35s on OEM wheels.

3" is too much. Don't go more than 2.5". I don't know why you would buy anything from someone named Fat Bob. The Autospring kit is probably cheaper and better built. Run 35s on stock wheels or 33s aftermarket.

The truck is 4WD, right? If so, just wait and see how it turns out. A lot of people have this set-up and it's level. However some people have had it be unlevel.

Check out my gallery.

My 05 has the 2" AS leveling kit. Any pictures with the Helo wheels are with the leveling kit. It still has the smallest amount of rake just about 3/8" - 1/2" or so that the front sits lower. My tire and wheel specs are:

Toyo Open Country A/T: 325/60/18(33x13x18)
Helo Maxx 6 - 18x9 with 5.39" backspacing

On occation my front tires rub a tiny bit if I'm going in reverse with wheels at full lock/turn. The rubbing is very very minor I could trim just a little but I think that once the tires start to wear down some the rubbing might quit so I'm not going to worry about it.

Anyway I'm with the others on just 2" or 2.5" AS....3" is just too much.

Also from what I've read on here it is probably better to get leveling shocks such as the Bilstein 5100's. It costs more but you get the lift on the front and get better shocks at the same time. I think that later this summer I'm goint to try the Bilsteins due to the fact that since I put the larger tires on the steering wheel wants to jerk side to side some when going over pot holes or large bumps and members here said new shocks should take care of it since the stock ones aren't meant for the large wheel and tire sizes.
