When i went up to 36's i know the TRIP is off how can i find out how many miles i really drove. I noticed someway of doing this awhile back but cant find it. anyone have any websites or know how this is done? My stock tire size was 31" my current is 36".

You divide your current size tire by your stock size and then multiply your trip mileage times that number.

Example if trip reads 300 miles:

36" / 31" = 1.16129

300 x 1.16129 = 348.38 miles actually travelled.

Easy way is to just figure that you need to add 16% to your mileage and you will be pretty close.

16% of 300 is 48 ..... 300 + 48 = 348 miles.

Quickly figure it out at the gas station by using your cell phone calculator by taking the mileage on the trip times 1.16 (300 x 1.16 = 348).

I just clocked mine to 340 miles and that was sputtering into the gas station. Got a 6 inch with 35's. Divided that by 27 gallon tank and its 12.5 mpg. Just did that formula thing and it came out to 383 miles, so divided by 27 would be 14.2 mpg. Do gears help or hurt mpg's??

Depends... since you have 35" tires 4.56 gears would help! and also help the transmission!

both... will help in stop and go, but hurt on the top end.

to put it simply

Its will help your truck get moving, but at the same time, will limit how fast your truck wants to go. 4.56 and going 60-65 mph would be golden. Much after that and you'll actually start to lose MPG's.

But it will save your transmission's life ! And maybe the engine as well

ok as of right now i averaged 15 MPG including calculating for the tires. I was driving a mix of easy and hard so its a good "real world" number also mixed highway-city
