I support your choice of the Pro Comp Stage II. It is the best of both worlds...you can leave it at 6" (don't crank the coilovers)...and go with those 35" tires. Then later on if you get the itch you can crank the coilovers and throw an AAL on the back and run 37" with no issues.

Either way (Rize or PC) you are going to love it...

i have a 4" rancho on my expedition. i am trying to go 6" but nobody seems to make a setup that will work with my AWD. with my 4", i am running 365's (almost 34.7, close enough to 35's) and i have no rubbing. there was very minimal cutting.

I have seen 35s run with the coil overs cranked and the AAL and it looks pretty good. Is there any disadvantage to cranking the coilovers? Like additional wear on the lift, problems with the shocks, etc?

Yes, there is. It puts your uca's and cv axles at a more extreme angle. However, Josiah has his cranked and he drives his truck about as extreme as you can and he hasn't had any problems. Well, at least when is comes to the uca's and cv's

Yes, it'll wear out the CVs, UCAs and LCAs quicker as well as ball joints. The ball joints will be the first to go. I had a 2004 F150 with a Rancho + 1-1/2" Autospring and it ruined the ball joints pretty quickly but that truck was used off road a lot. So if you don't use it offroad it should be alright for a while.

I had the procomp 6" (Stage I) and now have the Rize 8". I would definitely recommend the 8" if you're already considering it, if not you will be wishing you went bigger later.

I would go with the Rize kit, but if you want to stay with 35's there is nothing wrong with the Procomp stg 2.

Not to revive a dead thread but...why is there still debate. I'm not too happy with my Fabtech, the ride is not what I wished for. The performance...no complaints. But you get both with the Rize, and added height which I would like.

Rize hands down. My friends like my truck more than I do.

Im going to stand up and say i like my ProComp II. I like the coilover shocks. Rize would have been nice, but I would have broken the bank getting upgraded shocks. I don't like the spacer look.

Neuspeed, your truck looks amazing. I don't think I've ever seen it before but it looks really good man !! Kings would look amazing with that white.
Look guy, your going to be dropping a lot of money into an 8" Rize suspension lift with 37" Tires and your gonna want to change your gears out and stuff and then go with a programmer or what not. Man, honestly if you ain't got the money to play with the airplanes don't do that setup. IMO I would go with the Fabtech 6" Suspension Lift, get you a set of 35" Toyo M/T, maybe a little CAI and a programmer, and be done with it! I may only be 24yrs old but I gotta little bit a brain in me. And me personally if I'm gonna spend anywhere from $6,000 - $10,000 for mods on top of $35,000 truck and take it in the mud, your freakin crazy. It's merely going to be looker for you I'm sure. Let us know what you decide!
