I'd go with the 6 inch lift. If you don't you will regret it when you decide that you want 37's in a year or two. As for a programer, you won't have to use one.

I agree with Wandell.

If you want to do a performance mod to make up for the sluggish feeling after the lift and tires I would recommend get new gears.

First off go with the 6" because like others have said, you will want to go bigger eventually. For the power you can go with new gears to make up for some sluggishness or get a programmer for little cheaper, or just get both haha.

i just put a 4" rancho on my 07 screw and it gave me almost 5.5 inches of lift. i'm not sure how much lift the 4.5" superlift yields but i'd go with a 6 inches, i didnt want 5.5 inches of lift, i wanted 4 inches but now that i see it i'm glad i did.

What gears would you recommend to put in?

I'd go with 4.56's personally.

If you are running 35" tires, with the stock 3.73 gears, your rpms will actually be lower cruising down the interstate. If you bring your gear ratio up to a 4.56, the powerband will be like it was with your stock tires and stock gears. I have 3.73 with my 35" tires. I definetly lost some power. But I got an edge, and that helped out some. You will be fine with 3.73 ratio unless you go up to a 37" tire. Then 4.56 or even 4.88's would help out a ton.

I agree. Go with the 6". After a while you won't even be able to tell that it's lifted.

4.56 gears are perfect for 35's. but i am running 4.88's and they work great too + more power. I turn about 2700 rpms at 75mph and i have gotten as good as 12.5 mpg if i'm easy on it. the lowest i have gotten is 9.8 mpg.

Plus i am planning on getting a 3 inch body lift and getting some 38's and now i'm already geared for it.

If you get a programmer(I have superchips) you will be able to recalibrate your speedo easy! Plus they add some power and make the tranny shift a LOT BETTER!

Not sure. I did it myself and spent about 5-6 hundred. My truck had only about 35K on it when i did it so I only bought new pinion bearings.

so your looking at about that in parts.

I have heard a few guy's on here say it's about 1500 or so with labor.

6" lift and 4.56 gears. I have 4.56s with 10"s lift and 38s and I'll tell you it made the truck feel great, it still pulls my two atvs with ease, and helped out with mpg. I think gears are something way too many lifted guys on this site overlook.
