yes, i used my original drive shaft. i really dont know why you shouldnt use the stock one. If you think i am going to have trouble please let me know.

Nah you should be fine... but anyway thanks for posting that article very informative! Really doesnt seem that hard if you have all the right tools!

no i agree witht the stock driveshaft, i just no a couple of my buddies drive chevys ( am i allowed to say that word on this sight! ) think that if you lift a truck u gotta have a different shaft but ive never agreed, so ya. Did u do ur brakelines ur self then to? wat kind/brand/length u get?

Most lift kits will give you a spacer to make the stock drive shaft longer! At least most kits i know Fabtech does for the 97-03 F150 im not sure about the 04+ F150's or any other trucks!

you do nothing with the brake lines except use the mounting bracket that comes from Fabtech that lowers it mounting position.
