Stupid question, what is the difference in the two?

 

FX4 comes with rancho shocks, at least on the superduties.

 

in the 97-03s fx4 ment rancho shocks and a different sticker. 04-08s its basically cosmetic stuff(grill,no chrome,different badging), and like he said the superduties have rancho shocks and the sticker.

 

well on the 97-03 (really the package was only availible on f150s in 02-03) you got different shocks (rancho), skidplates, different wheels & tires & of course the awesome sticker & it was the same for the superduties until the 08+

 

In 2004+ you also get the limited slip rear end, & 3.73 axle, along with skid plates, & cosmetic stuff!............I added the factory Skids, & already had the 3.73 limited slip rear on my XLT!..............

 

from what i have heard.. for uses the same piece of **** shocks and puts rancho stickers on them.

 

Mines is a lariat and it came with a skid plate limited slip, fx4 has a diffrent leather seat and speedometer guage

 

I thought it had the LS axle in the 97-03

 

yes sorry the 97-03 (02-03) fx4s also included LS difs an 3.73s in the axles
