ok i found the fabtech kit i want.. its 6 inches i cant find a 8 inch lift anywhere for a 06 4x4.. help with links if can.. but just wondering is $2833. a good deal for shipping and everything, including the dirt logic shocks.. also is it doable (spelling), by a guy that has has some experience with water pumps, and fuel pumps, and common stuff?

Yes its do-able as long as you have a good set of tools. Its pretty easy, make sure you have enough Jacks AND jack stands to keep the big ole truck lifted up while you work. Also make sure they are going to be tall enough AND rated at the proper weight for these super heavy pick ups.

the 6" fabtech kit at truckaddons.com is only $1600 right now for the 4x4 04+ body. and $1273 for the 2wd. you can get that kit plus an auto spring 2" leveling kit and get 8" of lift for under $1700
