outer tie rod

outer tie rod

howdy, im doing my outer tie rod. and what a friggin time to get it out of the sleeve that connects the inner and outer.......i tried heating it, banging it, and the outer wont turn out of it. any suggestions be handy

should i just pull the whole assembly out and vice it?

you very well could vice it but since its already been heated why not replace the whole assembly its easier and wont cost to much

ok, nm that plan, everything closed in moncton now, except canadian tire, and they dont have that sleeve.......back to pulling it out. any suggestions

is your truck a 4X4

Hey gallen 97.
Is your truck a 4X4 or 2 wheel? I have a 4X4 and my problem is inside the boot... Not sure what I will get into if I pull it apart...

well i got the sleeve off, of course i threaded the last 2 inches........ARRRGGGGGG

oh well, wont cost much more to replace everything.
