i Have a 2004 FX4 supercab short bed and i'm not sure which size would make my truck level without the front being higher than the rear. anyone know which would look better?

Search is your friend, this being one of the most frequently asked questions on the forum.
Measure your truck to the center of the wheel well in the front and in the back. Decide what size kit will work best for you. Keep in mind the AutoSpring kits seem to yield about .5" more than advertised.

hey again
hey guys! i asked the question simply bc i don't know, i would think you should leave a tad higher in the back so when you load your bed down with stuff or not even alot, it would make it look squated in the back. if i get the one that makes it perfectly level. also why get an AS leveling kit? whats the difference?
thanx for the responses guys!

I have an 04 FX4 extended cab 6 1/2' bed and opted for the AS 2" leveling kit. I too was concerned with the back sagging with any type of load and that is why I went with the 2" (clink on the link below). I am also running the stock size tires 275/65/18 although M/T, so the 2" was right for me.

Alot of members went with the Autospring leveling kits because of the material they are made from (steel vs. polyurethane) and the ease of the install. The Autospring kit is installed on top of the front spring assemblies. With the polyurethane kits, such as the Daystar, you must have a spring compressor to take the front springs apart and install the leveling kit within the spring assembly.

bump steer
Just wondering if anybody notices any bump steer when the suspension articulates at highway speed with the 2 or 2.5 Auto spring? i had an 05 xterra that i put a 2.5 spacer on , and you could feel it pull alot when you would hit a bump on the highway, due to the changed angles or the tyrods. thanks - John
Leveling Kits
Here's an idea, check out www.ProRYDE.com. Their upper strut kit is adjustable from 2" of front lift to 3" of front lift. No more decisions to make! Buy it, and adjust it to your preference. You could even install a 1" rear leaf block and get an overall lift. How do I know? I am biased. I'm the guy making the ProRYDE stuff. Check it out, you'll be impressed. Would love to hear your feedback!
