Backspacing for Wheels With RIZE 8"

OK for those of you that are running the RIZE 8" lift what BS do you guys have on your wheels. Trying to find a Black 18" wheel that is both wide enough and has the proper BS which i believe is supposed to be 4.5"/-12

Trying to locate 18x10 preferably but that seems to be an impossible task thus far. Also would consider a 20x10 but not real found of the whole 20" wheel craze. It really has made choices suck for anything smaller.

Richard,

Most of the aftermarket talk seems to take place in the OEM "Wheels and Tires" section for some reason.

I'm sure they wouldn't mind if you did a little cross-posting.

Check out ProComp's line of wheels.

Ive got a little under 4.5, I think its like 4.4 or something. No problems here! Rize recommends minumum of 4.5".

Yeah I went back and forth as to where i wanted to post this but since it is concerning the RIZE Lift I chose Suspension. Looking for a Black wheel which really limits the choices even more..

Did you have any rubbing on the inside with that backspacing? Also did you try that rim/tire without the leveling kit?

I have no rubbing on the inside with the tires. I hadn't tried it without the leveling kit, because I thought about going with 38's ended up with 37's, and put a grille guard and winch on.

Thanks for the reply, good to know a person can go a little deeper on backspacing on 18's and not run into problems. I like that tucked in look, and it opens up a few more options for wheels.

Rize's recommending 4.5" of backspacing was on the 17" rim on 18" or 20" rim any backspacing would work. That's the reply I got from an email I sent the before I purchased the lift kit.

This is great info to have. I have also sent them a email but have not gotten a reply. That makes choosing a wheel a whole lot easier

Just ordered up some 18" gunner 6's from discounttire thanks to this thread. Loved the look of the wheels but thought before that 5.75" BS would be too much on a rize lift, now I know its not

Thanks to this thread one more piece of the puzzle is resolved. Now onto research whether I should get an AAL or a bigger leafpack for my 07.

Interesting here is the reply i got from RIZE.

The proper backspacing is 4.5"- but due to the common 18,20,22" wheels you can use up to a 5.5" B/S depending on the wheel company! I STRONGLY RECOMEND FITTING ANY WHEEL BEFOR MOUNTING! WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR A WHEEL OF ANY BACKSPACING NOT FITTING! EACH WHEEL COMPANY HAS DIFFERENT CASTINGS FOR THERE WHEELS BACKSPACING, SO IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO CHECK FUT FIRST...

Notes to self...check before mounting and get ready to buy a small spacer if need be.
