I traded my 04 super duty in on a 04 f 150 this past wednesday and so far I LOVE IT..Im new here so go easy on me..I ordered a NCD 2.5" leveling kit for it ..Im just wondering how aggrovating are they to install?? It says no coil or strut disassembly is required and no compressor is needed but you know how that goes.. Thanks everyone...Please leave feedback

I have a level kit on my KR but I had it installed. But no worries.....someone will chime in with their knowledge. Just give it some time for other members to see the post.

If its the one that mounts on top of your strut assembly its not that bad to do.I have the top gun 2 1/2 and i gained 3 inchs from it now i sit totally level.Took about an hour for both sides. But i am a mechanic too.Youll also ned to get an alignment after your done the toe will be out some.I just did the old tape measure trick to get the toe back in till i dropped it off for aligment.

If you jack up the front of the truck by the frame and not under the control arm, the hub assembly will be able to drop down freely. Then you can take out the nuts at the top and just insert the spacers on top of the assembly.

Very easy install. There is a couple write-ups on here about how to do it. I'm 18 but I've been working on cars for a while so I have some knowledge about how things work. Follow the instructions and you'll be fine. Took me and a buddy about an hour or so for mine.

I did have a friend that tried to do it by himself until I got there. Well he got the truck in the air, unbolted the UCA, LCA, Sway bar end links and was about to take out the strut assembly on the driver side. You will notice when you install yours that the third bolt on the strut assembly is kind of hidden behind a little lip on the mount. Apparently he looked down through the engine bay and saw a bolt in the mount. DO NOT take this bolt out. Had he been smart and thought things through he would have noticed that it was what was holding the strut together. Needless to say a few hours and $30(for a strut compressor) later we had it back on. The other side took about 45 min once he knew not to take that bolt out.

Yea I know that was hard to understand so I made a detailed picture:

I just finished installing my 2" Auto Spring Kit today. No problem. No need for a spring compressor either. I recommend a 1/2 drive impact thought. Need a 30mm socket, 21mm socket, 18mm deep socket, 15mm and 17mm socket too. A hammer, a couple of jack stands and a hydraulic jack to lift up the front. I took my time and took about an hour per side.
I did it at home in my drive way and I am not a mechanic by trade.
