Lifted Daily Drivers
Hey everyone, was wondering who all has a lifted truck that is also a daily driver. Because mine is and debating about a lift, My concerns are lasting of everything. Im want to be able to get 200,000 out of my truck if i decide to. How long do you guys expect to get out of your front and main drive shafts?
Im looking towards 6" fabtech lift with coil overs.

She's my daily driver as well. As long as you do routine maintenance and don't beat the hell out of if, a lifted truck should have the same life span as any other.
The only things that should wear out faster are the ball joints and of course the brakes since they are fighting to stop a larger wheel/tire combo which weighs significantly more than stockers.
Do it! You will not regret it.

My lifted truck is also my daily driver. You will notice it at the pump, but that should be it unless you take it out and beta the hell out of it. My mpg's dropped about 3 mpg after installing my lift. I aslso had a set of Yukon 4.56 gears installed about 4 months ago. Not sure how much they helped my gas mileage because all I do is stop-n-go driving so my mileage sucks either way.

I drive my truck about 80 + miles a day. And just hit 100,000 miles. Lift`s been on for about 45,000.With a 2.5"AS and now 2"AS. So far I`ve replaced upper & lower joints.Plus 2 sets of front brakes And now rear rotors and pads need to replace . Engine & drivetrain still running strong. MPG sucks but I`m still on stock gears. Also use my truck to pull a 24' travel trailer and I`m always hauling stuff in my truck.
I`d say, Lift it. You`ll be happy.

This used to be my daily driver until last week Now it is my weekend driver!!!
I`m driving a little 1970 VW bug during the week and its way better on gas, I was spending about $75 a week in gas just going back and forth to work about 260 miles per week and now I can drive 3weeks on 1 tank of fuel (10 gallons). When you put a lift and bigger tires on your gas milage will go down a little bit mine went down 2miles to the gallon, but dont get me wrong I love my lifted truck there is nothing like driving around way up in the air its just Awwwsoome!
