Keys to good gas mileage.

-Accelerate as slow as you can.
-Cruise at no higher than 65
-Never slam the gas down
-Drive smart

You'll be suprised how much better it will be.

So far I`ve replaced upper & lower joints.Plus 2 sets of front brakes And now rear rotors and pads need to replace . Engine & drivetrain still running strong. MPG sucks but I`m still on stock gears. Also use my truck to pull a 24' travel trailer and I`m always hauling stuff in my truck.

I`d say, Lift it. You`ll be happy.
I am going the leveling kit with 285's route on my DD with a concern for mileage yes, but more so a concern for power towing. How much does your trailer weigh? I have an 2005 7lug with 4.10's stock and I am looking at towing about 6500lbs and as much as I'd LOVE a 6" lift with 35's, I need it to perform as well...

I'm regearing with my lift but I'm going to have to guess my mileage is going to take a decent hit. My new 35x12.5's weight 30+ lbs more than my stockers. That much unsprung weight is going to take its toll, especially in town.

But oh well, we do what we like. I have a motorcycle that gets 65mpg that I ride when I'm feelin cheap.

Here's my Daily Driver with 129,000 miles. I owned since Jan of 01' lifted it with 35's a month later. Then July of 07' went with another 6" with 38's.
If you wanna ride with the big boys you have to come off that wallet.
