I have a 1999 XL with the V6 engine. Last night when I was driving through a parking lot at low speed, I noticed a soft "whoop" noise coming from the steering whenever I made a turn. I don't know how long this has been happening - I usually have the stereo up pretty loud. Any ideas what might be happening? I don't think I've ever done anything with the power steering fluid.
