OEM Shock/Strut replacement 2001 4.2

Hi All, My 2001 f-150 super cab has 85k miles on it and is in need of shock/strut replacement. What do you guys suggest...

I found some Monroe's (2000-2003 Ford F-150)
fronts - TS34657 $39
rears - TS34658 $39

What about springs? What about struts? Bushings...ect???

Thanks!!!

The Monroe's would be fine, but I would suggest looking into some Bilstein shocks. They go right in and give a little bit better of a feel. Bilsteins are around $77 for your model I think.

If your springs are sagging, I would look into new ones, other wise they should be fine.

Bushings: Wouldn't be a bad idea to get a polyurethane kit and re-do all the bushings. Being over a 15 year old truck, I am sure this would make a pretty big difference in its "feel"

here are some sites I found right quick for you. i would look around more if I were you

There has to be more out there.

Oh and shocks = struts

Thanks MercTech!!! I'll look into the Bilsteins but they'll be hard to swallow at twice the price.

Oh, my f150 is an 01 (not a 91) so it's only 7 years old not 15

Cheers!

:o my mistake. I saw the "1" part... and I am working with a 67 500SL. I guess I was just thinking "old" sorry bud !

Ya, Bilsteins are a bit more pricey, but give a real good ride. The Monroe's are also a know brand, good ride. Also look into Rancho shocks. Not sure on their pricing but I know they are decent shocks and a think they have a good price. Good luck bud !
