Looking into new shocks, which ones..

Well I am in the market for some new shocks for a smoother ride, I was either going to get rancho, or the bilsteins.

My question is will either of these work with my current leveling kit I have a AS 2.5"

thanks for the info guys!

both of them will. or you can go the other route and get rid of your AS and get the Rancho quicklift or the bilsteins. the quicklift is a set of coilovers and the bilstines are ajustable shocks. both will give you about 2" of lift to level out your truck

Right, you can't combine the leveling kit and the shocks for more lift.

the rancho just reuses the stock coilovers, just so ya know, ID go with the bilstein 5100s up front and 5150s out back

How is the ride difference on the bilsteins? I have always like those shocks but never actually had them.

My probem is when i hit a larger bump, my truck sometimes will bounce because of it, and this is what I am trying to avoid.

The ride difference is that the bounce more or less goes away. The Bilsteins do a MUCH better job of dampening which makes for a little stiffer ride, but also handles larger bumps and uneven surfaces much better. I had a AS 2.5 before I put on my 2" Bilsteins and the truck felt "clumsy". After the new shocks, the truck handles much better and I like the fact that there's no spacer stacked on top of my shock. I highly recommend them.

Got them for $360 front and rear at Top Gun Customs. Here the link to their ebay store and a set of shocks.
