my truck, your opinions

heres my truck as it was when i bought it, only thing that has changed is that i have a toolbox. i dont got much money so here we go

shes an '04 heritage supercab 2wd. my plan at the moment is to get the daystar 1.5" leveling kit and 3" body lift. id like to get new wheels but if it comes out to be too much im gonna stay with my stock ones, and id like to get a 285 or 305 size tire on it. what do you guys think about tires types(an A/T prolly) wheels and look of what i have planned, and im open to other suggestions as well!

my truck

IMHO Ditch the leveling kit if you plan on towing a trailer, trucks have rake for a reason. Now on the other hand if you plan on not towing anything go for it, it makes a truck look pretty good! IMHO ditch the idea of a body lift!!! I have seen far to many crushed cabs from where the blocks give way! plus if you get one with 4 lifting blocks on each corner you can not put anything heavy in the back for it will give way in the center since you take out all the support with a body lift! I personally like General Grabber AT2's Great winter traction, ice is no problem, and they last forever, they are like one step above any All Terrain, and they are about 105 a peice at the tirerack.com! Just my two cents and others may not agree, but again just my honest opinion!

i dont plan on towing anything so the leveling kit is a definite. i havent ever heard that the body lifts weaken your bed, and i havent heard that they fail, do u have a link or something that says this? i have heard pretty much all good reviews of the PA body lift, which is the one i plan on getting.

That is a good looking truck I would definatly go with the leveling kit and after you get it on drive it for a bit before you do the body lift you might not want it. I have a buddy that has a truck like that and wanted to do the same thing but after the level he changed his mind about the body lift. If you do get the body lift get some gap fillers they make the truck look so much better.

Sounds like a good plan. You can do all of that in stages if you wish. You can add the leveling kit and fit 285/75-16's (33x11.50) using the oem wheels. Then you can add the body lift and then go with an aftermarket wheel.
Also, there is nothing wrong with a properly designed body lift. I'm on my third truck with a body lift and have never had any problems.

Yes, you can even stuff 285's on there without the leveling kit (barely) but the wheelwells will look very stuffed. They will just look a lot better with the leveling kit. I'd stick with a 33 inch tire like the 285's or 305/70-16's (33x12.50) with the body lift also.
