any cutting on truck to install fabtech 6"??

any cutting on truck to install fabtech 6"??

the website says no cutting or welding but the guy at SS Truck Performance said that he would have to cut something.. so does anyone have any experience with this???thanks.. im not sure that i want any cutting going on, on my brand new truck

2wd needs minor grinding but 4wd needs cutting for the rear drop down.

you will have to make some small cuts in the bottom of the cross member. its nothing big, just a few inches of metal to make room for the new cross member. I did my install and it really wasn't that big of a deal and is NOT something you will ever even see.

a cut off wheel will handle the cutting easily

I used a high speed diamond cutter.... worked through it like butter !
Any cut-off wheel would work just fine. Its really not that much cutting.

im not sure what year your pickup is but i just put a 6 inch fabtech on my 01 and it was just like they said, a bolt on kit, no cutting at all. although i did have to drill some hole, which is no big deal as long as you have a sharp set of bits.
