AS 2.5" Difficulty

Tommorrow I plan to attempt to install the AS 2.5" leveling kit. I was just curious how difficult this is to install for a first timer. I have pictures and pretty good directions from a previous post, but wanted input from others that have installed them. The most complex thing I have dobe alone on my truck was install power windows and switches for both front and rear windows on an STX.

I did mine in 2 hours also with a tire rotation thrown in. Dont fret and take your time. It a nice easy project to do. Take wheel off undo five nuts and one tie rod , remove shock and spring assembly, Attach spacer and put back together.
Stand back and admire your ride.

Have fun.

Be sure when you put the spacer on top of the spring you put the top in first then the bottom. Also, when trying to stab the upper ball joint back into the spindle, jack up the lower control arm and use a pry bar to push down on the upper control arm to stab it and get the nut started.

Well I installed it today, was pretty easy (for the most part) One thing I had problems with was the first real step of removing the 18mm bolt under the sway bar. That thing was a pain in the *** (got the impact wrench) It would just spin no matter where I put a wrench to keep it from spinning. finished it right at 3 hours. Got an alignment, all for $50.00.....not to bad

Nice one Luke. I can see the big grin on your face now. Its always sweeter when you can do it your self.
