deaver install, how involved?

the deaver leaf packs i ordered will be here late next week and id like to get them installed asap. I figure the install of the leaf packs to be pretty straight forward, anything I should look out for or know before I get into it? Also I bet on dropping the gas tank, from the pics ive seen it looks simple, what should i look for and how involved is this step? im familiar to the area having done a few aal's, and a whole new leaf pack seems easier as far as install....

hmmm, i dont think you have to relocate your gas tank. me and a buddy installed a set of atlas 8" leafs on his 05 f150 and we didnt have to touch his tank.

not having to drop the tank would be great! How did youget the bolts out? I know kansasjoe said one time to just cut them off.

Not sure on newer F1s, But you wont need to drop the tank. And the bolts are easy..Two sockets.. Droop out the rear, (engine Hoist is easiest) And unbolt, and bolt on. Done.

I don't see why you would need to drop the tank. It's not part of the suspension at all. I figure you'd jack the rear support the axle and start removing all the bolts.

The front bolt on the driver side leaf spring is by the tank. Since it's such a long bolt, it seems you'd need to drop the tank to get the bolt out. I've never tried, but I know Stealth dropped his tank when he put his drop leaves in.

If it comes down to it, just make sure you use a big piece of wood under the tank. A jack on the tank itself will crush it.
