Just ordered the 2" AS on eBay

And my Magnaflow should be here any day. Here we go!!

On another note, I called my local 4WP to get prices on what it would be to just have them do it and align it and put on 285/70/17 BFG Mud KM2's on my stock wheels. Let me just say, those guys are out of their mind! He gave me an out the door price of $1742!! Wha!!??

The break down:

tires $227x4=$911.96
pro-comp/RL 2.5" kit $229!!
install/align $175
mt/bal/stems $88
cam kit (yeah right) $180
tax $158.40

He said he was throwing the align in for free basically...hmm so then that's $175 labor! and a no charge align.. yeah I guess would throw it in to too if I was giggin' them $88 p/hr labor and $10 cam kits for $180 that they don't really need. And $229 for the same thing everyone else is making for most of the time less than $100!?? That's way off base to me...the tires & mt/bal are really the only thing competitively priced. I'm starting to question going back there.

What part of TN are you from - West, East or Central?
Just curious b/c I am in the Memphis area and I have not been overly impressed with the 4WP here recently.

West between Nashville and Jackson. The other thing is, the guy was supposed to call me back with a price and never called. It was getting late in the day so I called him back to see if he had anything worked up yet and he fumbled around blaming his computer and being busy then said let me call you right back. So I give him my number and he transposed the number and got a wrong number. So he calls my home and leaves a message that he tried to call the number I gave him. So I call him back again and it was like he didn't have any of my info of what I wanted in his system and kept asking me over and over what year, etc.

When he finally gave me the price he said we try to be thorough and make sure there's no surprises and added that I would most likely need the cam kits, BUT he was so worried about telling me why I needed the cam kits and being thorough, I asked if that was including Mt & Bal....hmmm Ah! know what? no I forgot that he says...sheesh...

Maybe they are really busy and he needed help...who knows...but I was not impressed. I used to live in Austin, TX and the store there was pretty good but did order the wrong tires for my Jeep. I think if they would just slow down and pay attention to the customer they would be better off.

Yeah, I got them direct from AS on eBay for $79.99 shipped. I will have the Ford dealer align it for me.

Yeah..for sure.

I'll do the install and wish I had access to an alignment machine I would do it myself. Been there done that, got the scars.

Try NTB for the alignment. I think I paid 120 or so for my alignment. BUT, I get free unlimited alignments for 3 years.
