It took me about 14 hours by myself. Look in my gallery for pics of some of the install.

A little bit longer for me but a majority of the time was spent getting the truck apart. Heating up the bed bolts. PB blaster everyday for a week or two prior to starting, and have a torch or cutoff wheel handy.

First one took us (my and 2 other buddies) the whole weekend. That was on a 2000 Scab but we were drinking, taking our time, and also put on new shocks.

The 2nd, on my 03 Screw, we had it down to about 12 hours, again with installing new shocks. The bed bolts will be your toughest challenge. Pics of the install process in my gallery. Good luck and be sure to post pics when you're done.

jk will back me up on this one DO NOT REMOVE THE RADIATOR!!! There are picds in his gallery on cutting the shroud tabs while the radiator is still in.. I never thanked you either jk, I owe you a gallon of antifreeze.. or a six pack ..but I was going to let my wifes cat sleep in the garage that night so you owe me a dead cat!

I'd love to take credit for the radiator trick but I got that from someone on here also. I pulled it the first time and it was kinda a PITA... I'll still take you up on your offer though if I'm ever out that way again. I use to live in Vernon Hills from 00-03... But haven't been back since.

As far as the dead cat goes, We (my wife) have 2 live ones. I'll glady kill one of them and send it 2 you...I'll PM you some pics

Nice truck
I got lucky and didn't have any problems with the bolts coming out I did have help to put the bumpers back on, the rest was by myself. I probably could have knocked some time off the install but i'm picky. I took all of my bumper measurements and the spacing between the cab to bed prior to taking it apart. I even used a straight edge to make sure the cab and bed were perfectly straight down the side of the truck

I;m considering trying to install it this weekend and doing the 6in lift the following weekend. Then all I will need is tires and wheels and a set of gears.
