Bilstein 7100 or Fabtech dirt logic
i have a 2005 f150 2wd with a fabtech 6" dirt logic coilovers and dirt logic 2.0 in the rear. I replaced the 2" block that the lift came with for the 5" block now my shocks are to short and max out in length so i need longer shocks. i wanted to see what peoples opinion were on the Bilstein 7100's vs. the fabtech dirt logic's

That's a tough one. I think the price on the DLl's are a little cheaper mabye, not sure??? I'll just say this...Bilstein's reputation is going to be hard to beat. Either will look smokin hot but the Bilsteins may garner a little more attention. I lived in Sothern California for a few years and the whole pre-runner/baha truck theme is the bomb down there. The guys that really beat up their trucks in the dessert run the Bilsteins. But then it's funny, the guys that really use their trucks, not all the time but most, don't use the main stream products anyways. You see stuff like the Bilsteins, Sway-A-Way, DH racing, King, etc....not a lot of pro-comp/fabtech stuff. Was just my personal experience anyways.
One question I would pursue an answer to is how are things valved and how would the Bilsteins work in conjunction with the DL's up front. You get to order your own valving with the 7100's so may be worth spending your time learning about that. Only down side I can think of is I don't believe the 7100's are built for long service life. That shock is built to be abused and re-buit. It is owner rebuildable though, so that's cool. But if it's gonna spend most of its life on the street, the pampered life might not be too rough on it. Call Bilstein and ask around. They're pretty good about handing you off to someone in the tech department.

I had the 7100 on my Dodge 3500 that was lifted. They made a world of difference from the Fox 2.0s I was running prior. I know it's not apples to apples...but they were a FAR superior ride. I would suspect the F150 would repsond the same due to it's weight. The DL shocks are nice, the 7100 are awesome.
