I Need Some Help With lifts

hey guys i currently have a 2001 f150 with some 33's. its not lifted but i really want a lift. Im thinking about a 8in suspension and 40in tires but i need to know how much that would be. and also do i need to new rims if i have stock rims now?

if any of you have this set up on your trucks right now please send me picks, also if you have a 6in suspension and 35's id like to see those to cause thats my other choice. thanks guys

You cant fit 40's on 8 inch suspension. You can fit 38x15.5 on 6 inch suspension and a 3inch body, but that will still be close.....I would reccomend a 6inch suspension, 3inch body, torsion bars cranked, aal, and some 38x13.5 tires. If you dont want that big, 6 inch suspension and 35s.

you have 3 ways to get 40s on your year truck

1st, 6in Fabtech 3in body, crank your t-bars and trim

2nd full trottle makes a 10in kit for yours and it says you can only fit 38.5s but crank your t-bars or body or do a lot of cutting.
If you go 40s you will have to regear no questions asked unless you want your tranny to die and gas to be ***** and have a top speed of 50. anything else i can help with. The best tires size or largest with out regearing or really messing things up is going with 37s, that requires a 6in fabtech and alot of trimming
