This may be a stupid question but out of fabtech performance shocks, DL, and coilovers which is the best for the money? The coilovers are about $3k more for my truc and the DL and performance are pretty close.

Also, the more shocks per wheel, does that mean the smoother it will ride?

Usually, more shocks means more dampening which equals a stiffer ride.

DO not do the mulit shocks per wheel there is no need for it and its played out. Just get one good shock and it will be more then enough. Yes a tuned coilover will ride way better then any off the shelf shock but you will also pay more, if you dont have the money for coilovers I think bilsteins offer a good ride for a better price. Myself, I have coilover but you have to use them to make up for the cost.
