Lil' Help!! 6" - 4" lift with 35" question

So what if I keep my 16x8 Pro Comp wheels and put 315/75/16" MTZ's on with either 4 or 6 inch lift will I get any more or less rubbing than with 16x10 wheels? In other words will the 16x8 tuck them in more and NOT rub??
Or....
If I use the 4" lift with my wheels and 305/70/16 (34") will they clear. I'm trying to figure a way to not have to get new wheels. The Fabtech kit shows it allows 16x10 (no BS listed) and I assume that's not to say I couldn't run 16x8. The Rancho shows 285/75/16 with 16x8. My Pro Comp's are 16x8 with 4.5" BS. I know the manufacturer specs are conservative so what do you all think I should do here???

You can fit 315/75r16s on a 16x10 wheel with 4.5" of backspaacing on either lift if your truck is a 4x4.. Thats the setup i have with only a 3inch body lift. You will need to trim the lower part of your plastic valance.

Either size will work. You just have less chance of rubbing with 8's, but 10's look better.

Thanks Wandell that was basically my question...

Keith, I knew both kits would take 16x10's but I want to keep my 16x8 wheels...

I may have to rethink this now....I think 10"s look better too so...hmmm

Keep the 16x8s til you get money for 16x10s?

305/70/16's are only 32.8", which is the exact same height as the 285/75/16, they are just wider.

Oops, I meant 315/75/16 not 305/70/16 but you are correct though, the two sizes I mentioned are the same...
