I just put a 3 in. body on my 06 that already had 6 in. suspension also added 38x15.5's.. i know regearing is the thing to do but im not worried about speed ive just heard that it will tear your transmission apart.. will there be any problems if i don't regear?

sounds like your trucks a hoss you outta get a pic up of it but regearing i think would definitely be very smart. It might be expensive, but it would be worth it in the long run. But hey, thats only my opinion. You might be able to slip by w/ what you have now. Just don't rag it too bad

it depends on what brand you go with, gears arent something id mess around with so id go with either precision or yukons. you could put them on yourself if you have the time and tools and save a chunk of change.

with that size of tire i would go 4.88. a local shop wanted to charge me $1800 installed and that was with a discount. i shopped around and ended up paying $1100 installed for front and rear. no problems and happy so far!

I second the 4.88s. You will get some power and fuel effieciency back also.
I am not sure where you are located in MS but we are in South MS and can install gears for you. We love the yukon gears. Motive and Precision are good also. We just started a rough draft of our website and will be adding to it this week but you can check us out anyway at http://www.engineeredperformanceinc.com/

I have the Yukons and are pleases with them. I went with 4.88's and you wont be dissapointed. I got mine from 4wheelparts for 423.99 front and rear and it was about 200 for the install. You for sure need to get them. A guy back home had the same set up, last time I talked to him he said his tranny gave way. It aint moved in over 2 months. Its a shame to let a nice truck suffer. Take care of her and put the Umph back in her.
