? about AAL from 4wp
Does anyone know how much the AAl kit from 4wp will actually give you height wise? I called and all the guy would say is they all give 1-2 inches. No matter what I asked or for any help that's all he would say. Not to mention I have called them for other things and their services sucks and they don't help you whatsoever. So if anyone has any info or possibly a better place to buy from please let me know.

When I did mine I learned that trying to get the clamps off after loosening the alignment bolts is a real PITA.
On the second side I jacked up the truck (Jack Stands), took the tire off, jacked up axle and used a BIG pair of channel locks and bent the clamp open wide enough to add the drop the bottom leaf off. The removed the U-bolts alignment bolts etc...
If the leafs are loose it moves around so much that you cant really get a good bite to spread. Second side went really easy and took 1/3 the time as the first.
BTW I have a 2007 2WD SCREW and AAL gave me about 1 1/2". That is the same part #. (It is a Procomp AAL correct)

It is a little bit different on each truck. That is just the way it is. I got mine there, and had them do the installation. They also put in coil spring spacers. I didn't do any before & after measurements. But the truck does sit a little higher. My installation included being able to go back there in a month to have the nuts & bolts re-torqued + a re-alignment if needed.
You just bend the clips out with a pipe wrench (opposite ways from front and back clip) and then beat them back up with a hand sledge (may have to heat it up if you have a puny hammer) and it will look just like factory. Each clip you want to bend out just one side so one side of the clip will stay normal.

You're going to have a heck of a time if you try to slide that leaf in there without removing the rest of them. Easiest way is to bend the clips down the way I said earlier with pipe wrech and then take all of the springs out except for the main leaf and restack them on the ground with your new add a leaf in there and then put it back together. 04+ F150 is a bit more difficult than other trucks because you have 2 center bolts and you also have to attach the top u bolt plate to the springs instead of it being separate.
