tires rubbing

i've got a 07 f150 supercrew with a 6" procomp lift, 20x10 wheels and 35x12.50x20 tires and my tires are rubbing real bad, i can't even turn in my driveway. anyone know why they would be rubbing? i thought you could run 35s with no problems. what do i do now? thanks

It's most likely the backspacing of the rims. Do your tires stick way out of the fenders?

It's a combination of the width (10 inches) of the wheels and the backspacing. With a 10 inch wide wheel, I'd want at least 6 inches of backspacing. I bet you have a wheel with a lot less backspacing than that. THe most common wheel specs seem to be a 9 inch wheel with 5 inches of backspacing.

10" wide rim is your problem. The Pro Comp website says that is allows up to 5" of backspacing. Your current rims are probably less, causing the tires stick out past the fender. If you increase the backsapcing on your current rims you'll probably start rubbing on suspension components. Your best bet would be to get a 9" wide wheel.

I'm no expert but this is my guess.

I bought them from a shop in Daytona Beach,FL that is no longer open.

Call the guys at PDKwheels.com and they can give you the number for a shop in your area.

A nobby tire or street tire it is still 12.5" wide and 35" tall. That has nothing to do with it.

The design of the tires can cause problems if the fitment is really tight. The Mud Grapplers do have huge sidewall lugs. Where are they rubbing exacly? Can you take a pic and post it? I still believe the problem is more than likely the width and bs on the wheels.
