I love these Bilsteins firm but not too firm, not bouncy or mushy at all, and very responsive. I really like them for day to day on road driving but when you get them off-road is when you'll love them.
What is the most lift you can get out of the bilsteins? Did the bilsteins help out with the roughness of the stock shocks over bumps in the road that can be sometimes jarring, or are they stiffer and just as bad in this condition?? I very rarely go off road but when I do I kick the living crap out of it so I don't care about the ride off road only on!!

You can get 2" of lift out of them and eliminate the leveling kit altogether. I heard they help on the road with the bumps, I'm still waiting for a chance to install mine.

He wants to run the Rize strut extensions instead of the big spacer on the top.

Well damn you should of let me know .. $100 including shipping. However, I only thought shipping and the paypal fee would be $20. Boy was I wrong, Bud said he'd give me some more cash if shipping was a lot so ...

So sounds like its time to hit Bud back up. You have to take the bilsteins apart from the coil to adjust them don't you. was reading in another post about he wanted to crank them and I'm assuming he meant when they were on the truck.

Yes, it's that snap ring at the bottom of the coil that adjusts the height.

I installed the Bilsteins adjustable shocks to the full 2'' and it feels as if the shock tops out when coming off the back-side of speed bumps. I took them to a buddys shop to change them out since my spring compressor is not strong enough to get the pre-load. Looking at the instructions im not sure if the little rubber bushing is in there that goes around the treads. Does anyone else have this problem?

Are you talking about the rubber sleeve that slides over the shaft to keep the bump stop in place or the metal "washer" that fits below the threads?

I broke the rubber sleeve when I put mine on. I think I tried to use something else in its place but I don't think it fit. My bump stop (yellow) just floats around in there. Haven't noticed any topping out.

However, I could only get the middle ring on the shock. Not the full 2". My spring compressor wasn't long enough (autozone). I had to further compress the top of the coil with my hands while putting on the shock nut with my teeth.

Thats rubber sleeve is what im talking about. I guess its just for the bump stop. Dont know why it feels like its topping out. Your brave putting the shock nut on with your teeth. Those compressors still fail under preasure.
