confused on leveling kit

Alright I think I decided to put a leveling kit on my truck. Yes I will go with the ever popular AS. However, I was at my dealer tonite looking at one of their modified f150s and it had the AS with Nitto Terra Grappler Tires 305/55/R20 and Weld racing commando 20x8.5, 6 on 135 and 6 on 5.5 Bolt Pattern;Backspacing = 4.5 in.;Offset = -6 mm. How is this possible without rubbing? He said there was not rub whatsoever. Any truth to the matter?

I am running LT305/55R20/E All Terrain T/A KOs on 20x8.5 wheels with 2.5-inch leveling system and have no rubbing at all. The BFGs are 33.4 inches tall with total width of 12 inches on the 20x8.5 rim. The Nittos you mentioned are 32.07 inches tall with a total width of 12.2 inches on a 8.5-inch rim. Assuming you keep the same backspacing on the wheel, you should have no problems with the leveling kit.

alrite, when i got to 4wheelparts.com to look at the tires, they say that the tire is 35.2 inches in diameter. if i understand correctly that means its a 35 inch tire. correct or am i just really tired?

A 305/55-20 is basically a 33x12.50 tire, not a 35.
