Leveling kit

I'm thinking of putting a leveling kit on my f-150. Probably rancho quicklift. I just was wondering if anyone could shed some light on ride quality differences, I mean obviously it will be a stiffer ride, but how bad?? also do the leveling kits cause any premature wearing on front end parts??

Most people have not had any problems. However, some have had premature ball joint wear. Not too many people here have the Rancho replacement shocks on the 04-08's. Most have a Daystar, Autospring or other similar spacer type leveling kit. A few members here have the replacement Bilstien coilover shocks, which are similar in design to the Rancho Quick Lift coilover shocks.

Thumbs up

Hey, I just put my autospring 2.5 lift in my 2004 f150. I don't know about quicklift but my ride has not changed.I still have my 265/70/17s on the truck and feels great.

Don't know much about shocks - is it worth the extra $ for the Bilstein 2" levelling shocks, vs a 2" spacer like the Auto Spring?

I'd say that depends on how many miles are on the truck. If it's new and you are happy with the ride, you probably don't need new shocks. On an 04-06, it would be a nice upgrade.
