problem with alighnment

I brought my truck back to allied and said the steering wheel was still crooked, so they through it back up and the guy signaled me out and he showed me that it had new controll arms on it. they i don't know how he figures he can make that claim i keep those parts clean anyway..

he then showed me how my wheels bow inward causing massive wear on insides of the tires.

i just installed the daystar coil spacer 1.5. is that the cause?
then when i drove off after an hour of him working on it the wheel was a little better but still way off. what the hell?

Sounds like you need to try a different shop and then when someone else fixes it drop by and show them this is how it's done.

Really I had mine done Saturday morning, 6" lift + 2.5" spacer and it took the guy 30 mins and I watched him. He did make a comment to me that some steering wheels on our trucks are a witch to get right. It took him like 3 trys.

You know, I just installed the 2" AS and had it aligned twice. Now my steering wheel is slightly crooked. If you hold the wheel dead center it will slowly turn left and if you release the wheel it will turn to the rt. about 5 degrees and start to pull to the rt.

When I had mine realighned the guy did a great job but he told me that the software for him machine does that on purpose. Some safety thing about making the truck slowly go to the right in case of emergency's instead of left into oncoming traffic.

WOW!! I wonder if i start feeding my customers some BS will they buy it? If he can't align it properly, go find someone with some sense of knowledge! End of story. Anyone telling you you can't re-align these trucks should not be working on ANY vehicles! Those people give any real mechanic a bad name with their pure ignorance!

Go right insetad of left in an emergency??? come on, making someone's vehicle drift right can create an emergency all by itself!!! The guy is a complete moron and didn't want to admit it! Sorry bud! Do like DJH said, go to someone and get it done right, then bring it back to show the other guy how stupid he is. Good luck!

Pull to right for safety??? So pulling to right onto over curbs and onto sidewalks into people is good????? Wow!!! I thought I had heard it all, guess not. This mechanic shouldn't even be working on a Hot Wheels, let alone a your beautiful truck. Find a good shop and then go back to him when it is fixed and get your $$$$ back. Good luck man.
