Here's a good one...
I had a local pickup "specialty" shop install my AS kit because I didn't have the tools needed....a few days later I began hearing a "clunk" in the suspension. Take it back to the shop they supposedly checked everything again and said it was nothing to do with the the install of the kit. Their opinion was a weak strut (now keep in mind that the truck only had 7500 miles on it). Well needless to say I didn't care for their answer, so I went to a different shop. One of the guys at shop two took a ride with me, as soon as he heard the noise he says it isn't the strut. We go back to the shop, he crawls under the truck and says here is the problem, they didn't tighten the sway bar link nut when they were putting it back together. He cranked it down and miraculously the noise went away. Needless to say the guy at the first shop got an ear full. Oh and when I took it back the second time, I even printed the install instructions for them...when I tried to hand it to the guy, asking if it could be an issue with the torque on one of the nuts, he says oh I have the torque values memorized...NOT.

weak strut? i love how auto shops think that people are retarded, people bring there cars in for a reason--they dont have the time nor the tools or dont want to start something they cant finish. the part that pisses me off is that you pay a premium price to "so called professionals" to do a good job and they cant even tighten a nut properly! i'm glad shop #2 fixed your problem, just goes to show if you want it done right, ya gotta do it yourself.
