Level Kit + Blocks = Gearing Problem?

I have a 2.5" AS front level kit plus the 3" blocks for the rear on order and I was just thinking: I have 3:55's so if I go with 35's, is my truck gonna run like a wounded mule?

That's my plan in the long run, but I figured I might need more then just a tuner to correct an issue like this.

If you don't tow/haul heavy loads you performance will be ok. Nothing to brag about, just ok.

I might just go with 33's then until I can get the cash to regear. It's such an expensive thing, and I don't have cash falling out of my pockets.

I'm not comfortable with the term "driveable" haha. I think sine I can't spend a ton of cash at one time, I'll just stick with the stock 17" rims and try going with 285/70R17. Wheel diameter measures 32.8. That's the closest tire I could find close to 33". These should fit no prob right?

I get a company discount with Firestone so I'm looking at a nice set of Dueler Revo A/T's.

According to the tire dimensions from discount tire's website, the stock 255/70R17 tire has a height of 31.06" and a width of 10.04".

The 285/70R17's have a height of 32.71" and a width of 11.22".

So if I stick with the stock rims, will the extra 1.18" in width be a problem?

Yea, but HOW does it run? heh This is the first truck I've had that I felt like building up. I had a Chevelle and GTO from my teen years to mid 20's so I like a little giddy up, if ya know what I mean. I don't do much towing.

Im runnning 3.55's with 33's and a tuner. I am going to regear ASAP! When i went from 265/75-16's to the 33 i got the tuner to make it feal like it was with the 265's but that wasn't even stock. I want to get 4:10's bad!

Well, I'm not planning on getting rims right away. Gotta save up some cash so I may just get 33's for the stock rims. Would 35's even fit on stock rims? NVM, let me research it on here, I'm sure it's here. haha
