Broken Sway Bar Link

So recently I noticed a "howling" type sound sometimes when making sharp turns. It got worse and started happening more often. Checked around and found that my passenger side Sway Bar Link has broke. Seems like it is pretty easy to replace....but where can I get a new one? Think I might have found some online but not sure if they are the same. Called a pep boys and they have no listing for that part. I am gonna call the Ford dealership tomorrow, but not sure if they stock those...or if they will over charge me, which they will probably do.

Any advice?

When both of mine broke, I went to our local John Deere dealer and they ordered two sets for me. Had them the next day. They were about 10 dollars apiece.

Yeah from what I have seen it doesn't seem like they are a big cost. Should I get stock replacements or something that is more heavy duty? Also, should I just replace both of them for the hell of it even though only one broke?

Personally i would just use stock replacement ones if most of your driving in on roads and not doing a lot of off roading. I would also just do both of them now and get it over with.

Energy Suspension....

grade 8 hardware, urethane bushings. Run about $15/set and would likely last the life of the truck.

I have 'em on my '02 - would never go back to OEM...

I installed mine about 8k miles ago when I swapped in a 31mm Lightning front sway bar - great upgrade that helps to sharpen up the steering response.

anything's better than the stock links...

Well I ended up getting some replacements from the dealer by my house...so I will see how they work out. Not sure if that fixed the noise that I have started to get on occasion while turning. It's like a "howling" rubbing type noise I get after driving for a while and then making a sharper turn. Any ideas as to what that could be?

sounds like a power steering problem man. check your fluids.

mine keep breaking because i have a drop kit and i haven't compensated for it in the front yet.
